Cannot perform auto-backup. Locus is currently running.

I get an occasional error: Cannot perform auto-backup. Locus is currently running.

Is it possible to get rid of it? Why should I care that the backup was not successful if I have no suggested action to correct it?

If you want to tell there is no recent backups, you can use notification linked to the backup action or possibility to turn it on. Preferably not after the first failed backup but when the backup hasn't been for a reasonable amount of days so the user should really care and perform a corrective action.

I also experienced that problem a few times. Not a biggie, but certainly a little, well, odd - I mean, I can do a manual backup if and only if Locus is running - so why is there a problem with Auto-Backup, when Locus is not even in focus?

Automatic-backup system in Locus is still not perfect and this is just an minor "issue".

Anyway we should try in next version improved system, where Locus instead of this notification, will try to do backup an hour later.

And "why is there a problem with Auto-Backup, when Locus is not even in focus?" - because when Locus is running, there may be an action tat write new points/tracks to database, so it is not safe to disconnect everything from access to DB, do backup and then connect it. Thank is all ..

Thanks for feedback guys.
