Compass direction cursor when stationary

One of the features I miss from GPSKit (iOS) was the ability to select a compass direction cursor when stationary. If you're not sure which direction you are facing, you can turn until you are facing the waypoint and walk there. The GPSKit feature would automatically change from phone hardware compass to GPS direction when it sensed movement.

Thanks

Basically the option to have the current direction cursor when stationary would be great!

Hi thanks for the comment. I am using this feature, what I am suggesting is the option is added to replace the stationary circle with a compass arrow cursor. Thanks

So if I understand correctly, you wants some compass (rotated direction arrow) directly on a map? Did you tried "Show view" feature? http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:basics:locuscontrol&s[]=show&s[]=view

Thanks. Yes similar to this but a compass arrow. If this suggestion is not popular I understand and will continue to use the 'show view' function. Thanks

If popular or not, it depend more on users ;).

Anyway usually is good to merge or vote for at least similar topics to get bigger attention. For example isn't this quite similar to what you need? http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/compass-and-map-at-the-same-time

Yes please! Yesterday I was so lost in a small town that I didn't know whether to walk (pushing my bike up hill) left or right. Made a guess from the sun, but would MUCH rather Locus could tell me.
