is it useful to display all the stop/start icons for each track segment?

Using settings >Map - objects & style > Track icons = icon. BRouter w/o Compute instructions.

Below is a single track. I just added a new segment every 200m or so for the example.

When I create a new track, each segment (when I tap the + button) will result in a new (red) stop or (green) start icon like in the screen capture below. Some stop icons get changed to start icons as I add more segments, but sometimes not as can be seen - is this a bug? And are all these icons useful during track creation? When I save the track there will be a single start and single stop icon, which of course is useful.

Hmm because I usually use only "dotted" start/end points, I completely missed this.

Absolutely agree. Start/stop points in these cases changed for just a small greed/red dots.

Thanks!

Like you I used to just use "dotted" as well. I recently swapped to "icon" because they are larger/ easier to spot errors in sunlight. Your solution is my preferred solution too.

I understand of course why the start icon is green and the stop icon is red, by why do intermediate icons change color as I add more, and are not consistent?

Hmm I think it is just a problem of drawing. Every segment has start and stop points. But always stop from previous and start from next track, are on same place, right? So it only depend on order, how they are drawn. And this seems to be quite random :).

OK - understood. No big deal, just for interest, especially when drawn as dots in future fix instead of current icons.
