Augmented Reality problem on Samsung Galaxy 5

Zvika Rubinshtein shared this problem 8 years ago
Solved

On Galaxy S5, augmented reality works only when maps zoom level is arround 14 and it gives an view range of 3853 km !!! ( at same spot and same time, galaxy s2 gives view range of 63 km ).

When I change the map zoom level and press augmented reality button, augmented reality either crash or the display change to horizontal and back to vertical without displaying the augmented reality.

Thanks

If I select remote country like norway, augmented reality works fine.

I think that in country where there are a lot off poi, because of the high range and the fact that all poi are displayed even if they are hidden on the map, augmented reality crashes.

I think the problem caused by high range and display of hidden poi as well as map points.

Thanks

I think that the call to augmented reality includes too many variebles ( point to be displayed).

The problem started with the new vector maps which includes a lot of points.

May be you can limit the display to visible poi.

Thanks

Hello Zvika,

unfortunately I cannot promise any progress around this problem for now. Add-on is around three years without and update and is planned to completely remove it from Google Play, rather then fix it (no skilled people to do it for now).
