Second tap on the "centering button": undo first tap

Hi. Quite often, when I'm exploring maps on the phone using my left hand, dragging with the thumb, I'll accidentally squeeze the heel of my hand over the "centering button" at the lower-left corner of the screen, which suddenly takes me to my current location. Oops!

Could a second tap of that button, without any other action, possibly take you back to the previous position?

That would be very useful, thanks.

I have a similar problem with manual path drawing. The Plus button for adding points is exactly next to the current position button and sometimes I'm editing a track hundreds of kilometers away from my current location and I have to zoom out and search the place again several times, cause I always incidentally hit the center button instead of the plus button. Many times.

Could there be some kind of a lock, or is it possible to move the button to a different position? Switch it with the compass button? Whatever would work.

Hi,

you could set the lower panel to 'hide if inactive'. Than it is showing only seconds after a double tap on screen.

No, that doesn't work, cause I'm talking about a situation when I'm drawing a track in the map. That's not "inactive" and the panel is still there, the plus button and the current position button still dangerously close to each other.

I see but after setting panel to hide you have to wait about 10 seconds then panel hides up to do a double tap on screen. Same procedure as every change.

Sorry man, this is not a solution. The problem is that accidentally tapping the current position button is very annoying. Replacing it by a 10 second wait for a panel to hide is maybe even more annoying.

You have to wait once at the beginning und you can set waiting time <10 seconds. In long years of using Locus it is good practice for me. Apart from that for me it's not often to hit the wrong button neither with tablet nor phone.

During creating new track, the bottom panel is uncoditionally visible. Tapping by mistake on te centering buttons happens to me also. I'll suggest to disable the centering button during new track creation as it's mostly useless (or better - hide the bottom panel like in normal mode please ;)

Hi guys,

same issue happen to me also during last days. I'm thinking about some simple solution and best seems for me to simply prevent this centering, but allow to do it when needed. So in case, there will be some extra bottom panel (like when editing track), tap on "center" button firstly display dialog "do you want to center to current location?" with yes/no options.

Compromise, oki?
