Seems there is some api that can make your work more easier

Hello guys,

I was just in touch (09/2019) with Garmin support and they confirmed to me, that there is currently (and even no planned) no public API for upload of tracks from 3rd party apps to Garmin Connect platform. Sorry.

Even a Tapirik service has no disabled this access as may be visible on their site after connect to Garmin Connect

Idea declined for now because it is simply "unsolvable". If needed, please use TCX or new FIT file export directly supported by Locus Map app. Thanks for understanding.

Hi guys,

link to this service has changed ... seems to be now http://developer.garmin.com/garmin-connect-api/overview/ .

If I'm reading correctly, one-time license fee for integration into any application is $5.000 . Nice ...

Has anyone experience with "Garmin Connect" from developers point of view?

I too would like this function, all my tracks are uploaded to this. But I can appreciate this is perhaps not feasible given the cost.......but that's Garmin for you.

Perhaps its time to export all my years of track recording to another vender.

Suggestions most welcome.

If you want to export and if you're looking for a different location to store, I would recommend velohero. Already the free version is sufficient but if you want to support the developer, you can use the pro version which costs only <20,-€ plus tax!

Hi Menion!

I think it is not necessary to use the API. It would be enough to export as tcx activity, login to garmin and upload the tcx file. (http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/tcx-export-as-activity-rather-than-as-course)

Yeah, I recommend Locus add TCX support along with ANT+ / BLE power meters :) Adding fit support would be nice but tcx and fit are already pretty similar, so even adding both shouldn't be so difficult.

Hello guys,

in next version of Locus Map application 3.22.3 will be implemented export of TCX files as "Activities", requested here . With this option it is possible to export TCX files from Locus Map that may be imported into Garmin Connect web site.

It is not most easy solution I can imagine, but it is only technically possible solution for now. Direct connect to "Garmin Connect" is still not simply possible. Thanks for understanding.

Hello together,

Would much appreciate if Locus supports exporting to .FIT file format.

100% would love to export directly to the garmin connect site by linking accounts. I understand there was a high license bfee, hopefully that has come down.

Fingers crossed this makes it in a soon to come release.
