Easily copy current coordinates to clipboard

Hi,

for Geocaching I often need the current coordinates in the clipboard to add then into another application to "work" with them.

There already is a way to do this via share > text message and then I always have to delte the address then press share to clipboard. That's a heavy line up.

Is there another easier way that I did not yet find? If not what would be with the following ideas:

It would help if here the text message could be pre-customized.

Or maybe. When you click on map you get a context menu with "point detail/guide on" just add copy coords to clipboard.

Or maybe long press on the status bar.

Thanks Wolfgang

Hello guys,

many options agree ...

In next version will be enabled long click on top panel > in case, coordinates are visible, they will be copied into clipboard!

Long press statusbar would be great..

As a workaround, make a temp poi at your current location, open poi ------> long press coordinates. This will copy raw coordinates to clipboard. I do this often.

Maybe others will share easier solution

Hi,

there are several ways to do this:

if you want to show the location in another map application, just click share -> another map app

if you need to copy the coordinates to the clipboard, you need to click share -> text message -> click the delete button -> click the "+" button -> click "coordinates" -> click share -> click copy to clipboard.

another way to do it is to long press the coordinates in the point details view.

Hi Wolfgang

with "current coordinates" you mean current gps coords or current map center if map is shifted ?

My workflow with satfix and centered map > from side panel "add new point" > long click on coords >delete waypoint

and for your idea 1+ from me,

so if coords are visible in top panel > long click on these > copy to clipboard, would be a one-click solution

I think this is the same issue/topic that I have asked some months ago. I'm glad that this is solved and you could close the other issue: A long press in the top panel should copy the value
