The FREE Version can be installed on Chromebooks, but the PRO Version can't be installed :-(

The Free Version I can install on Chromebooks which are managed by google apps (now G Suite). The PRO Version which I payed for I can't get working on my Chromebook - that is a very bad issure witch I can't understand. I was in contact with the google engenieres but I think I is a restriction of the app itselfs. I hope you can fix it. The PRO Version is the best gps app on Android - I like it very much.

Thank you for your help.

Attaced you can find the screenshoots where you can see the issure, "The administrator do not allow the install". It is not possible to allow it because I can't find the app in the PlayStore for work! Please fix it.

Dear Dieter Kaltenriner.

Thank you for your topic.

As we answered to you via Google Play comments, Locus is available for all devices with Android 4 and more. There is no settings in the developer console to enable or disable Locus Pro on a Chromebook.

However, I've just found an information about Chroombook. You might not be able to download some Android apps in case you are using Chroombook in work or in school. Here you find more information https://support.google.com/chromebook/answer/7021273?hl=en&visit_id=1-636190433084112390-1580203648&rd=1

So please, contact your andministrator.

In case of troubles, please contact us.

Hello Hana,

I am the Adminstrator off the google apps domain and I know this artikel as well. The problem is that your app, but only the Pro Version, do not allow the the access to install it, when Play Store for Work is enabled. I can't allow It because it will not be listed, but I can allow the free version! Please look again on my screenshoots. There you can find it.

Please see here:

https://support.google.com/googleplay/work/answer/6190634?hl=en&ref_topic=6137710

There:

"If the developer of a paid app has not signed up to distribute their app in bulk, then you will not be able to make the app available to users. You should contact the developer directly and ask them to update the app properties in the Google Play Developer Console to make it available for bulk purchasing."

So I can't understand, If I spend some money for the PRO Version, I don't can use it. If I spend nothing I can use the FREE Version. Isn't it a litle bit strange???

Please fix and correct this please. Thank you very much!

Sorry, that is not correct of Locus!

Kind regards

Hello Dieter.

Thank you for your explanation.

I think, That we found out the problem.

App for Work Service is not available for developers in our country (Czech Republic). For this reason, we are not Able to Provide Locus license via App for Work service. Only Locus Free Is Possible to distribute via App For work service.

I am really sorry. For this reason, I would like to offer you a refund Locus.

Kind regards

Hello Hana,

I don't want an refund for Locus because I also use it on my tablet and my smarthphone too. I need locus pro and not the free edition!!! So I also want to use it on my chromebook. I don't know if that is the issure but it can be!?!

I also can't belive that you can't fix it because I have had the same issure with another app which was also developed in Czech Republic, and the developers fix this issure too. So If the free version is work, with goolge play for work, the PRO Version is able to do the same, but you have to do some changes in there permitions. I also know that google will have a good support for developers where you can get help with that issure.

Sorry but your answer is not satisfactory an is a very confortable way to say, we do not like do change something. Please, think about it.

Kind regard,

Dieter
