Show heading of line (or between two points)

Andreas Woithon shared this problem 6 years ago
Not a Problem

Referring to topic: http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/draw_a_line_with_a_distance_and_a_bearing and that comment from Menion ( http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/draw_a_line_with_a_distance_and_a_bearing#comment-4700 ).

I tried that

with the route editor. When I create the first point and then the second

one, only the distance is shown, not the heading. Then I create the

second point. When I try to move the second point, to get the heading no heading is shown. Yes, I have enabled to

display distance and heading above and under the line in the settings.

See attached screenshot.

Any help? I need to see the heading from a given point to another point.

Hello Andreas

in locus folder you will find file config.cfg

open it e.g. with Notepad and modify value(s):

# values above/below lines: nothing: '0', distance: '1', bearing: '2', ETA: '3', elevation: '4', time to: '5', ETA & time to: '6'

# value visible above/below lines, when you "select line" on map. Types in file header

map_items_selection_line_value_above=1

map_items_selection_line_value_below=2

save your changes and restart locus

Is taht a setting you need to do in any version of Locus or is that just because my version resides already for a long time on my device, going from update to update?

In other words, is that setting standard, now?

No, the setting is not standard. And the config file is updated upon Locus update too.

Do I need it to set it again after each update?
