"Upload only on wifi" settings affect track export

Hi,

The upload only when connected to wifi is handy but the way it seems to work, it has some drawbacks: it does not differentiate between small and big uploads.

While it is handy to do the full backup (170MB in my case) or the backup of some maps only on WiFi, i do not mind doing the auto-upload of a track to Google Drive - which is only a few KB - when connected to a mobile network.

I'd suggest to have seperate settings for backup and (auto)upload.

Cheers, Ulrich.

Good day Ulrich,

this settings is currently applied only on backup system, not on any export options for tracks/points. In these cases, Locus does not make difference between GSM or Wi-fi internet access.

So this idea is currently not needed. May you confirm it? Thanks.

Hello,

No. I did some cross-testing now. Auto-Upload (gpx to google Drive) in track-recording is affected by the wifi-only setting in the current version. (manual export is not). So it is a bug?

Hi,

Any news on that or should I open it again as a problem?

Cheers, Ulrich.

P.s.: today I noticed a red toast notification saying 'process aborted' when upload is not working (because I am not connected to a WiFi)

Hello Ulrich,

my bad sorry. You are perfectly correct that auto-export (upload) of tracks is by accident affected by this settings as well. Issue will be fixed in next version and export of tracks will be, as well as years before, possible no matter what type of internet connection is available.

Thanks!
