is it possible to create a route using a GPX file?

I have a file with about 200 GPX points I want to navigate along this route.

Thanks I thought I had already done this, does the gpx need to be in a certain format?

Locus can read any ordinary GPX, KML, KMZ, TCX... Would you mind sharing your GPX here for testing?

Hi Paul,

the problem is, your GPX doesn't contain a route - it contains separated individual points. It's possible to connect all of them in a route in Route planner but it can be quite laborious.

Your waypoints were made in Basecamp or Mapsource and just by selecting all in Basecamp then using the context menu to create a track or a route, you can get this - example track shown...which you can then use in Locus as usual.

This only works easily if the points are named such that an alphabetical sort puts them in the right order for your track/route, otherwise you have to rename them all or manually drag each into position. Fortunately, in this instance, they appear to be in the right order.

I would not wish to do this in Locus.
