If my Garmin router offline only with the data inside the map file, why Locus Map needs download additional data from another app?

The files .IMG are a database files.

In Oracle databases have CONNECT function which find the track between two points. I think Garmin has this function and Locus nota.

Hi Marcus,

it's not as simple as you imagine. Locus Map is a mobile app that uses third party content - map data, routing data, etc., and was founded sometime in 2012. Locus Map team consists of 5 people of which only three are developers. Garmin is a huge environment consisting of its own hardware, software and content. Garmin Ltd. is a multi outlet company employing hundreds of devs, cartographers, designers etc. , founded in 1989. You compare incomparable.

Ok! I understand and I accept your explanation. Well, I think I have work hard with my friends to use Locus Map, this way Locus will be a great company. I said this because I prefer Locus Map than my Monterra. Congratulation for Locus Map!! Monterra is discontinued for Garmin, and Android OS into Monterra isn't atualizaded too. I have a lot of hope in you!! Thanks!!
