Route planner fast manual option

Hi Menion, in Route planner I would appreciate a fast option to manually draw route by simply dragging your finger on the map. Map shifting could be done by two fingers. This method would be useful when you need approximate route and pathways are not available on map.

An interesting idea.

I think Locus is working on the point of precision. The freely drawn line will have a lot of points. I do not know ... there is a possibility of implementation.

And just remind that two fingers are used for the "Tu fingers measuring"

Hi condor, thanks for your comment. I try to clarify the reason of this request. I use Locus mainly for trekking and mtb trips. In most cases the trails/paths are already shown in the maps, don't need to create routes and don't strictly need to use navigation. I use locus to support when I reach some crossway or fork and I don't know which direction to take. Which may be quite often with mtb. The problem is that the small screen of phone doesn't allow the full view of the pathway so, you need to move the map to undestand finally which is your way. Alternatively, before the trip you build a route to follow with Route Planner aided by navigating tools (brouter) but this takes some time. If I don't need a precise route to follow but just an orienting one, I could move my finger along the trails and create a very fast pseudo-route. Orux allows this in overlay functions, so I hoped that locus could do more or less the same. The number of saved points could be approx. one every 20m, which is in my case the same of recorded tracks, or you could decide to have a maximum amount of points (e.g. 1000) to be distributed along the total lenght of the route.

Hi Andrea, why don't you use the routeplaner with manual mode? By this you can set points on the screen (with setting to "Schnellplanung" quick planing) even by taping on the screen. Not drawing a line, but tapping a line ;-) . I use this very often and have a quick overview for my hike (or even for a roughly holiday roundtrip over several days) without routing.
