I have this feature since long times: with DropSync you can sync what you want with DropBox.

E.g. export, database etc.

DropSync?

If you want to sync more than one directory you need the pro version.

I sync besides some Locus dirs also keepass and my screenshots etc.

There is also FolderSync:

Another solution:

If you want to sync only over WiFi without a cloud I can recommend Cheetah Sync (it is free and you need a client on your PC):

Did not try it yet with these applications but on rooted phones one can forbid applications to access mobile internet and allow only Wifi for them.

DropSync looks nice and i will testing.

but now there is another app in the backgrund working ;(

Only for track export is it "too much".

on the other hand this tool can do some other auto backup functions for me.

hmm - I will try it for a while.- thank you for this hint tramp.

After 1 month testig, this task can be ignored.

It works now with Dropsync (+key)

When i come home, Dropsync autosync all my Folders (camera, bluetooth, download, Locus/log Locus/export,...)

@tramp20

Thank you for this great solution

I`m now using SugarSync for all my syncing proccesses:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/de...

It allows to do real time syncing for any choosen folder on the phone and on the desktop PC.

I must admit that it would be nice to have a native Locus auto-uploader.

None of these solutions work well cause the tracks are stored in a db and you can`t do two way sync..

first you have to set "autoexport"

http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php/manu...

Advanced settings

Export record tracks

But then you have to manually import... or do you sync to the import directory on the other device?

my topic was "auto export recorded track to Dropbox ".

and this work very well now for me (read whole thread)

i dont care about "sync with other devices"

but yes, maybe it works in the same way.

Ah, I was referred to this thread by another discussing syncing...

I hope that this feature, already for some time implemented, works nice in latest 2.19.1+ versions. Enjoy it.

1. Do you mean the automatic export of tracks in the menu "settings/automatic export"?

2. I used always after track saving a) fill in height and b) export to the export path /locus/export (DropBox?).

I never know what is the difference of these two methods.

Is the first one without "fill in height" to the real Locus/export directory and not to the DropBox dir?

Yes, I mean this settings.

Difference - "fill altitude" is optional feature, so it is not performed in "auto export". But if you check this automatic export settings, you may see that screen is exactly same as common screen for export. So you may define for automatic export local storage, but also Dropbox or any web service. All should work without problems

Thank you, the automatic export looks good now :-)

If I remember there was a time when this did not work as expected so I forgot this.

If you have a little bit time you could include this "fill altitude" as parameter too.

Does the auto-export feature still exist? I just can't find it anywhere...

Yes is still available in Recording profiles. So you can create different recording profiles for different situations.

You can define auto export in Menu > Settings > Track recording > [name of profile Foot/Cycle/etc] > Automatic export

Thank you, I overlooked the profile settings!

It is very difficult in reading text.

Can I see it Comfortably in next version ?
