Good day Ivan,

may you please post a screenshot? Because I have absolutely no idea, where and why such number appear.

oh Google Play

I think that's not really a Locus problem.

Do you use a Download Manager App? or similar?

Whith google search, there are many hits about "error 25"...

thank you for the hint. Eventually I sorted it out! :)

Its strange but I downloaded Locus Pro from Chinese Android app store (my phone is Xiaomi Red Rice) and it worked - see screenshot. I was a little bit lost because I cannot read any Chinese :)

Before I was messing with clearing cache in Google Play, changing host file and so on, no success...

Now I am looking forward to use Locus again, its great application!

Hmm it seems to be some stolen/cracked Locus from March 2014. We never published Locus Pro on any other markets then Google Play, Android PIT and Mobiroo

I have uninstalled it so. I'll try to find another solution

Ok. Sorted out now.

Xiaomi phone can be good, but before you start to use it, you should get rid of all Chinese mess what is in it, Chinese app store full of warez included. I have installed new ROM and everything is fine now.

Locus is working again!

Hello Ivan,

Quite crazy solution.

Glad you solved it and agree that pre-installed mess in devices is sometimes really crazy. Anyway I'm currently in touch with Xiaomi team, so I'll ask them for any advice.

Unfortunatelly I have the same problem with Pro and Free version.

During the weekend I needed to switch phone to english. My bought Pro version disappeared

and since then I'm unable to install even the free version.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S, latest ROM MIUI 50.0.0.

Any idea what is blocking installation? Some artefact from past? I already tried to search and remove anything

I was able mentioning Locus or "menion" in packages, directories...

Thanks.

Hi Jiří, recently I solved this issue with another Xiaomi user... we checked MIUI forum and they recommend removing current Google account from your phone and adding it back... hope it'll help.

Hi Michal, thank you for your effort. I should have mentioned this in my post. This also didn't help.

Anyway I solved my problem by factory resetting the phone.

Thanks.

the problem is caused by Xiaomi antivirus app that mistakenly flags Locus as infected and blocks the installation. Xiaomi hepldesk suggests to de-activate the antivirus before the installation and after it to activate it again. A weird solution to be honest... hope they will rather repair their antivirus later.

Wow!

Good to know for next time. Even it is a hack!

Thanks Michal!

Working guide for Xiaomi Redmi 1S (that's my cell phone)

Go to "Optimization" -> "Antivirus"

Disable Auto Update.

Go to Applications, choose tab "All" and find "Security Guard".

Open it and clean all data - this will erase update which brough Locus "signature" as malicious application.

Install Locus. No matter if Pro or Free version.

Later you can enable antivirus auto updates but be warned:

Once you perform Optimization it will silently delete Locus from your Xiaomi.

Hope this saves somebody's sleepless nights...

Looks like fighting Xiaomi on all fronts :) Yesterday I added another recipe to the article in our FAQ section of docs.locusmap.eu too. Interesting, I've no problems with my Mi3 and it looks like the Security Guard app in it is the same.
