Add waypoint to recorded track possible?

We had a discussion about editing waypoints here: http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/is-there-a-list-of-waypoints-in-a-track

So I'm talking only about waypoints that are part of a track and - so far - can only be edited when selected on the map, not from the track screens.

Now, afaik, Locus can only create waypoints while recording (specific button) and automatically as part of a calculated navigation.

I would like to be able to add a waypoint to an existing track - I can't see a possibility for this, or am I overlooking something?

If no, perhaps this can be changed to an idea: I would propose for example selecting a trackpoint with "Edit on map" and then having the option "Add waypoint" in the tools menu.

Does any of you who read this topic know Orux good enough to tell whether it is capable of adding waypoints to already saved tracks?

That might be a deal breaker for me. Although I very much like Locus and have spent lots of hours getting to know it inside-out, I would probably change.

I think handling waypoints is a VERY FUNDAMENTAL part of any track recording / navigation application – and in this regard, Locus doesn’t seem to be good enough.

What about OruxMaps?
