Hi,

In case of using a garmin ant+ speed sensor during a bike tour, which speed is recorded in the GPX exported file ? Is is the one decuced from the GPS data or from the sensor ?

Hello,

GPS speed and speed from sensors - both are recorded into Locus internal database. Anyway when you export speed with latest version of Locus into GPS v1.1, only speed from sensors is exported. Speed measured by GPS is not.

Is this what you wanted to know?

Hi Menion,

So if the track is directly exported to Strava, which speed is displayed by the analysis tools of Strava ?

Hmm hard to say, it depends on Strava itself. Anyway Locus export on Strava same data as into GPX version 1.1, so only speed that Locus export, is speed from ANT+ sensor.

What anyway Strava display, if speed from sensor or manually computed from coordinates, it depends on Strava.

OK. How does Locus Pro know the wheel diameter ? I have a trekking bike (i.e. 28" wheels).

It do not. Your sensor has settings where you have to define this parameter.

Found it?

Yes, I found it in the ant+ manager included in Locus Pro. On has to enter the circonference.
