Cannot enter Locus store - app crashes

Hi,

after buying and setting up Locus Pro I now want to buy and download maps from the store. This once worked fine in the past with the free version, but now I am unable to open the store at all. Locus Pro stops working with Android giving me the possibility to submit a report (what I did). My phone is a LG Nexus 4 with the newest (unrooted) Android. Everything else works fine, but without having offline maps it's not as useful as it could be.

Hello Simon,


I probably see your report and it is really weird that something like this happen. May I ask You, to create a "Backup of settings" in "Menu > more > backup manager" in Locus and share result file? I hope in settings will be one settings that helps me to find out why this happen.

I've created a private ticket with that file. Even reinstalling the app or doing a settings reset in the menu do not solve this problem. I even tried to install the Free version - same problem here. It once worked. The only thing that has changed in the meantime is the login name of my Google account as I have added a gmail-Account to it with the GMaill address being my new login name now. Maybe the LoCoins / store access is now tied to the old or wrong Google account name?

Hi Menion,


it seems to have something to do with the changed Google account. If have now created a new user on that phone and also associated it my / the same Google account. After installing Locus Pro with this new phone user entering the store just worked fine. Android now asked me if I want to allow Google account access for Locus and after that store access was possible.


But as soon as I switch back to my primary phone user, Locus still crashs on entering the store. Maybe resetting the Locus / Google account access permissions might help - but I do not know how to do this...

I got it solved by removing my Google account from my primary phone account and then readding it. Locus now asked me for Google profile access and entering the store worked fine. Its strange that such things can happen just after adding a Gmail-Account...

Hello Simon,


ah damn, you were too fast. I just finished preparing of special version that should print out some useful information and seems you already solved it. Hmm problem was probably because of some cached data in Locus, that cache after first access to Locus Store.


Anyway now, when you are not able to simulate same problem, I have to close this issue. But, if anywhere in future, same issue happen again, please write me, I'll create special version and I'm sure we will solve it. Sorry for a troubles!

Hello I have nearly the same problem.

everything was working fine but now whenever I try to access the store I have a message "Unable to load your profile".

I remember that one month agaio I removed and added back my google account to the phone to solve another trouble.

Could it be the same ?

To be honest if I could avoid to have to remove and put back my google account, that would be nice


For your information I cleaned Locus cache and it did not solve it

Hello,

this will probably be some another issue. Anyway I've improved version for debug so if you have a while, please try to install this version: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_Nr4CT8osmteV9JdG53dzhCYUE/view?usp=sharing , start it and try to access Locus Store. After you receive error message, close Locus and in your Locus/logs directory, should be required logs. So send me it. Thank you!
