Can't use online maps on Android 6.0: Unknown problem

I'm running latest Locus Pro 3.16.1 on Android 6.0. And recently the online maps stopped loading. So only the cached tiles are being displayed and instead of other tiles I see the Unknown problem message. I tried OSM classic and Yandex maps.


I'm sure that internet is working and Locus app has the Storage permission enabled.

Good day,

"unknown problem" isn't much helpful information from Locus. Anyway I'm just testing coverage and functionality of OSM classic in area of your screenshot and everything works fine. Is it possible that it was just some temporary issue on your device internet connection?


Around loading of tiles is not currently enabled any logging so if issue will still be there and will be easily reproducible, I'll have to create for you some special version, so let me know.

Hi, interesting. Oki, then we may do two things. Because it's not clear for me, why such issue may happen, firstly we may try to use log created by you with this method: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:how_to_create_debug_log . Hope this won't be a problem for you.


If will be, or in log will not be any usable information, I'll prepare for you special version that will print out some more information about this issue. Thanks

Good day, thanks for a logs. Unfortunately I found only an messages that Locus correctly downloaded some data, but were not able to convert them to image. This may sometimes happen in case, server response "all correct", but returns some text error instead of image data.


You wrote you use Yandex maps. There is nothing I may do as these maps are not supported by Locus anyway "OSM Classic" maps should work correctly. So may you please install and try this beta version ( https://docs.google.com/a/asamm.com/uc?id=0B_Nr4CT8osmtbGRUN3hqRVI5UzQ&export=download ) and after error appear, create me please same error log as before. In log should be exact response from server so maybe it will helps. Thank you.

Ahhh what is this. All seems to be correct. From your log I see you have tested it with MapQuest server, request is correct, server correctly respond and send data, but data were not correctly download or some other issue happen. But issue seems to be in http connection in Locus and downloading data.


I see from your log that you use some nightly version of CM13, am I right? In this case, I'm giving my hands away, sorry. You are maybe tenth user, who complain about some crazy troubles which in the end, happen only on this new version of Cyanogenmode. In this case, maybe some special settings for http communication, some proxy server, who knows. Sorry.
