Hi Gábor, look into our new User Guide >>

Hi, the user guide says:

The line between points stretches straight in case of manual drawing or runs along roads and paths in case of automatic drawing.

But when you edit a track or route and drag a point away from the existing route, you don't have any choice about manual or auto. It routes TO the point OK (i.e. along a road) but when you save it, the line goes straight back to the route line as if you need to fly there.

Surely this isn't the desired outcome?

Hi Alan, could you please post a screenshot of the issue here? Either I can't understand exactly what the matter is or I can't simulate it. Michal

This screen shot is from my tablet.

I edited the track by dragging a green dot over to the left. The way TO the green dot was calculated along the available path/road, but after I saved the change, the route just joined back with a straight line instead of going back along the available road.

Also - if I add a waypoint into an existing route by selecting a point from My Points, I get over 50 duplicates of the same point inserted into the route - see attached screen shot

Hmm, interesting... what version of Locus do you have? Did you edit the route in the route planner or track editor?

Modify Track (after touching the track) - version 3.27.1

To change the route progress it's recommended to use the route planner. The track editor serves more like a place for repairing tracks. More info: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tracks:editing.

The case with 50x copies of your point - I don't have a clue what could be the reason, I can't simulate it.

NOTE: next time when you have an issue please don't continue in an old closed topic but open a new one or a private ticket. Thanks.

Here's how to simulate it:

1. Create a track - any track

2. Create a point near the beginning of the track - intention is to navigate to this point before starting the track

3. Go to the information of the track then the waypoints tab

4. Add a waypoint by choosing Add New, then Select Location - then My Points

5. Select the Point created in 2 above.

The screen goes black, you have to choose another app then return to Locus. Go to the track and the Waypoints TAB - you have about 77 copies of the point you selected.

Hi Alan,

thanks for the detailed description. Partially, I can simulate the issue (4x waypoint instead of one, without app crash). Would you please repeat the action and create a log report afterwards? How to make it: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:issue_reporting.

Then please post the report here for analysis. Thanks!
