Solved

Doesn't work with KMZ properly. I have imported waypoints, but in result there were only ~300 points. In my original file there were more than 2000 points. So, I lost 1700 points. For example, it was France's points from http://www.paraglidingspots.com/english/downloadselect.aspx


Critical needance for this functionality!

Firstly thank you for your report.


I have to say that KML that are generated by mentioned page are really very unoptimized and contains namespaces on places where I never saw them before.


Anyway issue is of course on Locus side.


I've fixed problems in Locus and version, where KMZ files imports correctly will be released probably in Wednesday.

Great! Trust you, that to you will solve it. This week I am going to France for two weeks, where I will paraglide and need your program very much. So, you may test your success in repairing exactly on that long kmz-file.
Also (in comparison to previous versions) filter in waypoints was damaged, I can't filter by categories (during flight I need to see landings and thermals around me) and during hike I need to see take-offs. And waypoints are not visualised by their flags as it is http://paraglidingspots.com/english/info.aspx. In previous versions they were marked with pictures.

Ah another problem with importing icons.

Oh yes, I also encountered the problem with importing icons and will very very appreciate the coming new release at Wednesday. I leave to the Russian Wilderness at Friday!

Hi! Thank you for the new version! Problem with filer is solved, but not with import!! From that kmz file locus imported only 500points instaed of 3700. Need it very much!

weird, for me import works absolutely without a problems. What happen to you after imported 500 points? Some error message? Are you able to create for me a log by this method? http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:how_to_create_debug_log

Hello Ilya,


I've checked your file precisely and there seems to be weird problem with track database. Locus is trying to store track from file to database that is already closed. This should anyway not happen, because Locus do not close this database during write.


So you have two possibilities

1. if you don't have!! any tracks that you care about, just delete file Locus/data/database/tracks.db. It seems there is something wrong with this file, so by this method, Locus create new empty track database

2. Otherwise you may send me this file and I'll check if is correct or try to fix it in case, there is any problem.


I also suggest to try to restart you device. It may helps if there is any "lock" on this file. And last think - because there seems to be a problem with database, I suggest to check on PC if your SD card has no errors. Just for sure if you have a while.

Hello, Menion

Thank you very much, but still no sucess.

It was importing, importing and at least shows block screen (my phone blocks after 5 seconds) on my phone and message "error in kml.doc" The result is only 1077 points instead of 3000.


My Locus was installed on phone memory (not SD). How to move installation to SD?

Wow! I made new experiment: deleted all files in Locus/data/database/ (not only *.db) + disable blocking screen and sucess came! So, issue could be closed.

I should be happy also, but even that I had absolutely no idea what to do with this, such solution means, that there were a problem, that may happen again. Probably really rarely (you were first as I know), but it may.


I'm glad ti works, anyway if something like that happen again, write me and I'll invest more time to this.
