Download single image of a Geocache in the field

Hi,

imagine you're out and you have a bad internet connection but you need one single image of a geocache to solve a stage. See Screenshot.

How is it possible to fetch a single image? This Geocache has 18 images. No chance on a bad internet connection to get them all.

Is there any way to get it or isn't it (yet) not possible with locus?

Thanks Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

tap the "Auto-load images - Disabled" and you'll be offered to download the single image to your phone gallery.

Hi Michael,

that's what I first tried before writing here.

When I click on it I get a message (screenshot). Translated it will mean: Missing application for this function.

That means there is no app in your phone that can handle photos - check your phone settings > default applications and if there is no photo gallery or editor, install one from Google Play.

Very, very strange. I had QuickPic as default app installed and I had deactivated Google Fotos. Works pretty fine since years. Now I did some tests uninstalling QuickPic and reinstalling, setting it as default photo app once again. No change.

After reactivating of Google Fotos (which I don't like) and keeping QuickPic as default photo app - Locus works pretty fine. I guess its a bug in Android 7.0

Thanks for the information that locus just opens the default photo app. That helped me.
