Dropbox points folder export problem - defunct overwriting

Hello,

I have problem with uploading points folder to Dropbox from Locus Pro (version 3.32.2; Samsung S4, Android 5.0.1). Single point export working fine, but when try group of points export or points folder export I get message 'Process unsuccessful'. I log out/log in few times but no change. Checked Dropbox Linked apps and Locus is listed with full access. In Google Drive everything is working fine. Please help since I have to change phone and need to export all my data :( Only solution now is to export to Google Drive and then move it to Dropbox... Few weeks ago everything worked fine, I haven't change anything in Settings. Thank you.

Hi,

could you please describe how you upload those points to Dropbox? Do you use Locus export to GPS > share exported data or do you export all data via backup manager? I've tested both ways and no issue has occured.

Hi,

I use procedures for group of points export and points folder export as described here: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:points:export. Just tried again and no luck.

Sorry, I forgot to write: gpx v 1.1. 'Include Icons and attachments' option under Parameters is checked, others not.

This is the full story: few weeks ago in the field I created new folder (Data>Add>Folder) named 'Sava' and collected points with some photo attachments (as I always did from the beginning of my Locus use). After returning home I used procedure for points folder export (Data manager > Points tab > any folder > fetch action menu > fetch export), selected path to Dropbox (Export path) and created new folder named also 'Sava' (File browser>Dropbox>Add new directory). I exported points as Sava.gpx file and attachments without problems. Then in a few days I went to work again and collected new points in the same folder 'Sava' in Locus. But when I try to export from Locus folder to the same Dropbox ('Sava') folder export starts, it stuck at 95% and then I get orange message box 'Process unsuccessful'. I used the same name for gpx file (Sava) as last time (maybe that is important) because I had never problems with that earlier. I tried to change the gpx file name (Sava2) but no change. I tried export points separately point by point as gpx and everything went ok with all 21 points 5 times I tested. When I try option 'Group of points export' process is unsuccessful every time. So maybe there is a problem with gpx creation.

Next step - if I delete all files in 'Sava' folder on Dropbox export is OK only for the first time when folder is empty. Second and later attempts for export are unsuccessful but not every time (i tried 7 times and 5 was unsuccessful and 2 were successful). No rule...

Then I changed file type to KML/KMZ. Export was successful 5/5 times. I tested different files in different folders. All OK.

I'm not sure but I think it happens after last Locus update (because I have these problems recently).

In few export of points as gpx I also get message in attach.

Hi,

thanks for reporting, this was really a bug - defunct rewriting of exported files. Will be fixed in the next version.
