Empty dashboard chart

Robin99 shared this problem 9 years ago
Solved

I was on short bike ride today and I was testing a new Locus test version.

Before ride I composed manual track at home using BRouter source adding two points: first of them was a geocache (showed on first screenshot), and second was a finish point. During ride to first point (geocache) everything was ok with a dashboard chart. But when I found a geocache and I would like to go to my destination point I turned on the navigation along a track but dashboard chart didn't update and remained empty. Second screenshot shows there was a some road to destination point.

Hello Robin,

Unfortunately I have no idea what should I do with your report. May you share with me some track (gpx file), and precise description what to do, to simulate your problem? Thanks

Unfortunately it's not easy to reproduce. I exported track to gpx and imported the track from the same gpx, and the problem vanished. It's mean the track has to be original hand made using Locus.

I suspect the empty chart can be implication of some kind of wrong automatic chart X resizing.

I'll try to reproduce this problem and give you step by step scenario.

Ah I thought it happen everytime.

Hmm anyway without ability to simulate, it's impossible to fix it. I was on short bike trip yesterday and had no problem, anyway I'll be more careful next time.

I've tested some of hand made tracks and simulated navigation using Fake GPS application.I've noticed the common thing of the tracks when problem exists is "reverse" part (see on screenshot).

You have to make a similar track with "reverse" part using for example BRouter source and turn on a navigation along the track.

Problem emerges after "turn back" point when you are still on the "reverse" part on track or further.

Remember the track has to be long, for example 15km.

Hello Robin,

thanks for additional information. I believe issue is now fixed, so in next version, Locus should correctly display chart and your location on it even for such "reverse" sections.
