[CZ/EN] Zpresneni GPS pravidelnym vypinanim/zapinanim GPS

Diky.

Hello Martine, I also have the A3 2017. I use GPS settings that two years ago Menion described here: http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/reset-gps-when-lost-signal I am not sure if it is with the new the GPS system makes this setting operational. I have it set up permanently, and even if I get the record from time to time, it will turn again. I noticed that the shift occurs mainly in the woods or between the tall buildings.

Auto-off GPS settings:

Auto-off GPS: true

GPS update interval: 10 s

Min. Accuracy: 1 m

Maximum search time: 3600 s

Hold auto-off enabled: false

Great! It's looks like Locus has this feature already! I'm going to test this settings:

Auto-off GPS: true

GPS update interval: 10 s

Min. Accuracy: 1 m

Maximum search time: 300 s

Hold auto-off enabled: true

Two notes:

  1. The minimum "GPS update interval" is 10s. Is it possible to allow also 1s (or even 0s) to restart GPS without delay?
  2. The minimum "Min. Accuracy" is 1m. Is it possible to allow also 0m to force restart GPS even if the phone says "GPS is signal is great and location is super accurate"?

Thank you.

This feature is not just for resetting GPS but for saving energy by turning on GPS at specified intervals. The idea was that the programmer Menion had the idea to use it for resetting. How it works is described in the link I sent. But I'm not sure if it will work with the new GPS system, where Locus does not look for a connection but takes it from the Android. Try it and see it. Maybe then Menion calls out and lets know how it is.I have set this up permanently for the past two years, but I do not see if the GPS turns off or not.

Hello Martin, Josef,

I believe that even with new system used in latest Locus Map version, this should work same as before. Mentioned settings seems to be valid ... so good luck! (and thanks Josef for a help).

For anyone interested in this topic, we discuss this a little more in second topic here: http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/gps-auto-off-now-working-when-screen-is-off .
