Filter for archived caches

Hello,

I want to find and delete all archived caches in a category.

In the list of caches I cannot see if the cache is only unavailable or archived. The icon has only a red cross for unavailable.

So is it possible to show archived caches with a new/other icon?

Or is it possible to add a new filter for archived caches?

Such a filter would be very helpful for deleting archived caches.

Thanx

I think, that there is a problem with this. (It is not unusual if I`m wrong :)

I believe that GC-API will not send archived caches, when you request for the closest caches.

So the only way is to update an existing cache manually, then you might delete the cache manually.

That is why I reload the caches in a new .GPX (like PQ) file that does not contain archived caches.

I don`t see a problem to realize this.

I have archived caches on my device, this happens e.g. if I import a PQ based on a bookmark list where the bookmark list contains archived caches.

Today, I go through the bookmark list on my PC to check for archived caches, remove them from the bookmark list and then manually from Locus.

The information is already there, Menion changed the cache detail screen some times ago, disabled caches are written in black letters (and strike through), archived caches in red letters (and strike through).

So all that has to be done is to use different icons in the list and add a filter for archived caches.

So +1 from me for this idea...

hmm ... implemented :)

just expect you!ll have to import caches again to make this filter work

So this solution is acceptable?

- disabled (greyed icon + cross line)

- archived (colored as now "disabled")

I choose this, to make it similar GroundSpeak system and also as mambofive mention, as in title of cache detail screen

Hi menion, thanks for the quick implementation!

I`d prefer the archived caches to be greyed out, in your screenshot the (green) archived cache looks "more active" than the (gray) disabled one, because of the colour of the icon.

So IMHO the best would be:

- disabled: coloured icon, black cross

- archived: gray icon, red cross.

Can we also get a filter in the POI list for this? This would make deleteing of archived caches much easier.

filter is of course already created (it was main purpose of this topic)

What a fast reply and implementation. Thank you very much!!!

Is there a possibility to download a "nightly build" or should I wait for the next version.

And when do you plan to update Google Play?
