Flashing screen after orientation change

Zoppo13 shared this problem 11 years ago
Solved

I have a Nexus 7 with Android 4.2.1. The device itself is configured to use German language. Each time I configure Locus (currently 2.8.4) to use English in the user interface the screen starts flashing after an orientation change from portrait to landscape or vice versa. The only chance to stop the flashing is to kill Locus.

Everything works fine if I use German in Locus.

This looks similar to a problem reported 10 month ago with the title `Flashing screen in landscape mode with ICS`.

Had the same problem on Nexus 7 Android 4.2.1. Currently there is no other way to avoid this except using the system language also in Locus.

Maybe Menion will find a way to avoid that.

So unfortunately even after few hours of testing, I`m not able to find working solution on this problem. Seems that something is not working correctly in A4.2.

So since next release, change of languages in Locus will be disabled for A4.2+ systems, till I or someone other find working solution for this problem!
