Google Place along a route

Hi,

to use Locus for bicycle riding over more than a day, I like to plan hotel accomodation in advance.

I wrote a smal python script which takes gpx points generate by Brouter and query google places for hotels close to 2000m along the route. This works fine.

Now, I want to import the generated gpx files with the waypoints of the selected hotels. This works also fine. But now, I like to add the phone number and url of each hotel.

Can you please tell me, how to specify the xml-gpx file to get this information imported to Locus?

Many thanks in advance

Kurt

Good day Kurt,

you look like skilled users, so I believe that best is to create sample point, in the edit mode fill phone number, email, etc. (everything you needs) and export this point into GPX.

Phone numbers are officially supported by GPX format. WIth emails it is a problem, anyway Locus has own extension that should also work correctly.

Believe you will succeed. If there will be any problems or something won't be clear, feel free to write me.

Also waypoints created by Garmin Mapsource_Basecamp are imported into Locus.

Inclusive phone number and url.

See attached gpx example.

Hi,

many thanks for your help.

The gpx example file helped a lot.

Now it works fine. You can close this case.

Many thanks

Kurt
