"Hold map center" not always respected

Quax64 shared this problem 8 years ago
Solved

I have the "Hold map center" always enabled (option in "Map - control & panels"), but it only works if also the "center map" button on the left of the bottom panel in the main map window is activated. This is fine so far, but the "center map" button becomes sometimes deactivated by Locus, meaning without being manually deactivated by the user. This is annoying, especially when the bottom panel is (intentionally) occluded by the dashboard.

So please keep the state of the "center map" button consistent with the "Hold map center" setting unless the user toggles this button explicitly.

One occasion when Locus disables the "center map" button is turning off the GPS (in Locus) and interacting with the map (like moving it). After turning on GPS, the "cent map" button stays deactivated. Instead, the toggle state should be set according to the "Hold map center" option after GPS was enabled. I wouldn't care whether the user had the toggle manually deactivated before, because the "Hold map center" setting should reflect what the user normally wants.

Absolutely agree. What happen to you is unwanted bug. I've found a reason, why this happen, so issue will be fixed in next version. If you find another such steps that cause centering unexpectedly disabled, feel free to write. There are some moments when this may happen, like after import of items that are immediately centered and visible on map, but in these cases, such change should be a absolutely logical.
