How to edit sqlitedb maps ?

Is there a way to edit sqlitedb maps on PC ? I would like to adjust some colors and contrast for my map so having an option to extract image from map would be nice. Even better would be Locus feature that can enhance visible map on the fly.

Good day Telemach,

as I know, you may use MOBAC application to view SQLite maps on PC, but I'm worry it do not offer any way to modify color of images.

If you are little bit skilled with SQLite and some programming language, there should be a way to just load all images directly from database and modify what you need.

Also if you need just improve contrast, give a try to this feature in Locus: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:maps_settings:misc > map color mode

To do exactly what you need is from my point of view needed own solution, or some advanced GIS tool. Maybe someone other will have any suggestion?

Locus can download selected area of a map so if you could add more output format options like for example : map+png or Orux format otrk2.xml then it would be possible to extract image, edit and save to sqlitedb

Hmm and difference between Orux format and SQLite? They are almost same ...

Almost because Orux creates three files :

OruxMapsImages.db

OruxMapsImages.db-journal

mymap.otrk2.xml

and these I can convert to map+png

'map color mode' is very nice feature however I little bit limited, I wish we had four sliders for contrast/saturation/highlights/shadows

Unfortunately I cannot help here more.

As I wrote ... OruxMapsImages.db is same SQLite database as map databases produced by Locus. Maybe columns has different names, but system is same.

Four sliders as well as storing maps in different format is over-featuring already over-featured application. Sorry, cannot help.

OK, how this knowledge about similar databases can help ? is there a way to convert from one format to another ?

"over-featuring already over-featured application" - it's not a problem because you can hide in settings an option to enable advanced features so this will not clutter UI but can help those who need more customization,

this feature IMHO is very important because when you work on large magnifications like 18 to 20 with raster maps in sunny day it makes big difference; colorless washed out map (like they are often presented) vs highly saturated and contrasted one; if you ever had to find a path between trees just by looking at aerial image you know how challenging it is
