I cannot load any of my offline maps automatically, the display says - loading- but it doesn't. Just a tiny few sections are visible. I'm using a Samsung 7" tablet

hmm and when you load them manually from "Map manager" screen, it works correctly? So only auto-loading of maps do not work? Btw. are you using latest 3.10.3 version of Locus Map?

Yes I use 3.10.3 pro version. The loading problem occurs spradically with map manager and without. It seems to get worser depending how long the tablet is switched on. Probably a RAM issue?

very hard to help here. Usually only solution how to fix any problem is to be able to simulate by myself. In this case, I'm not.


You wrote you see a "loading". It is some white dialog which display this text? If so, how long did you wait? Rarely it may take really some time. And mainly, Locus should display some error message in case, something won't work correctly.

Hello,

sorry for long delay, was really busy...

The loading is sometimes just partly, the sreen shows some parts of the map but many white areas as well. Then I can wait...it does not do anything and there is no error message.

I'm just leaving on a small vacation for a two weeks, so I'll give this problem to my colleague, maybe he will be able to help. Anyway, as I wrote before. Best how to fix any problem, is to simulate same issue on own device. For this I need at least same map that cause you a troubles. Second solution, that sometimes helps, is a log. I'm anyway worried, that log won't be useful here.

Hello Detlef,


I've tested the Northwest Territories map and I can confirm white areas. This is very likely error in map file - see attached screenshot from my device. Unfortunatelly I can not fix it because our server for generation of map will not be available during next two weeks. However I'll refund LoCoins for this map.

Hello Detlef,,


We've found out that issue is more complicated then we thought. There is also some issue in way how Locus renders the map. This is the main reason for white parts. Unfortunately the solution for this problem takes more time and I cannot give you exact date issue will be fixed.

I can only suggest to download World vector map from Locus store (via menu > store > worldwide > maps > World base map. This map is automatically shown when you zoom out (from level 9). It can probably help in some situations
