Image loading in geocaches listing

Hi there.

I've recently noticed that listing loading of geocaches takes longer, because Locus keeps loading images and doesn't allow us to scroll or read the page, which sometimes, depending on the connection speed can take a long time. Is there a way of avoiding this behaviour?

Regards.

Good day AntMadeira,

sorry for a delay in answer.

Is same problem happen also in latest 3.25.3 version? System of loading of images should be little bit improved there. Anyway you may always set image loading system to previous working solution in settings > geocaching > Auto-load images > Image caching. This should solve mentioned problem for sure.

Sorry for a complications.

Hi, Menion.

Thank you for your answer.

Actually, the problem seems to persist in version 3.25.3, but I found that it only happens with "image downloading" activated", which I had turned on a few weeks ago.

Now that I've reverted that to "Image Caching" it seems to be ok again.

I'll keep this in mind for future use, but maybe something could be done to avoid this.

As a suggestion, maybe it could be added another mode, one that would download images upon fetching the cache. That would be helpful for when we go to places where network signal is weak or non existent.

Regards.

Hello AntMadeira,

this is something I already do when images are in "downloading mode".

Anyway I've invested little more time and improved it now, so we will see in next Beta version or next public version. Looks a lot more usable now. Thanks for a "push".

Thank you very much for "listening" to us, proud users of Locus, and for constantly improving this great app. ;)

Hehe, what should we do without active users that helps us to make this app better and better? :). So I thank you.

Have a nice day
