No connection with Garmin Glo

I bought a Garmin Glo, but Locus won't connect with it. I had to download "Bluetooth GPS", then it seems to work - but the whole point of the BT support in Locus should be to not need any extra software, isn't it?

I had a GNS2000 before (returned it because the accuracy was very bad) - that had no trouble connecting with Locus. So my phone seems to support this with Locus.

I saw a thread about the Garmin GLO, but in Czech - perhaps you already have the solution?

Good day Ingo,

I've read carefully older topic here on Help desk as well as topics here on older forum http://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?action=search2 .. and situation is same on all of them. To someone it works, to someone it didn't. Because I do not have this devices in hands, it's quite complicated to fix it.

What happen to you? Locus see this paired device, but is unable to connect to it? Or it connect, but do not display any data?

Hi Menion!

I tried a little more and found out that actually both my phones (S2 and S4) do connect with the Glo after a while, but the connection is lost every few seconds. It's then restored automatically - but of course it's not really usable.

Bluetooth GPS app does not have that problem, there the connection is totally stable.

I can only assume that it might have to do with the fact that the Glo sends 10 fixes per seconds - perhaps Locus has a problem with that? On the other hand, the Mock-up GPS from Bluetooth GPS also seems to send with 10Hz.

Well, perhaps that helps.

Hmm there is not much I may do.

Only what we can try for now is create a log with this method http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:how_to_create_debug_log . Thanks

Well, thank you, but nevermind, I already returned the unit. Was not worth the effort...

So, for me, this can be closed.
