Locating doesn't work

Elena Shashina shared this problem 7 years ago
Solved

Since the last update the application has stopped locating me and always shows that I'm in the center of Prague though I'm in fact in Moscow. The locating option in my tablet is turned on and works properly in other applications. Please help me to fix this.

Hello Wolfgang,

thank you for your answer.

I went hiking and needed to have a look on a map, so I just turned on the Locus Pro in the middle of a forest far from Moscow and it started locating me properly. So unfortunately I do not have a screenshot while the locating didn't work and can show only the working state. The screenshot was made when I was back in the city.

Good day Elena,

firstly balloni55, thank you for a help and I'm glad it works now!

Elena, any idea why it was not worked before? You tried it on some place and in same moment it worked for other applications except Locus Map? I'm curious because in case, there is any problem, I would like to do some improvement to prevent this problem again. Thank you for your answer.

Hello Menion,

unfortunately I have no idea why it stopped working. May be after an update there was something with detecting satellites, any misplace of "zero point", I don't know. It seems that I tried to locate myself first at home via wi-fi and than in the centre of Moscow where there are lots of different signals. And the program began working properly when I started it under the free sky... Sorry for such a topsy-turvy way of reasoning.
