Locus for Wear works only with GPS from Smartphon

Hello everyone,

Locus Maps PRO is installed on my HTC M10 (Android 6). On the Ticwatch PRO (Wear OS 1.6) the Wear App. GPS on the Ticwatch is switched on. With the App permissions I have sensors switched on. Both devices are connected via BT.

Unfortunately the tracking with the clock only works if GPS is activated on the phone. What should I do so that the GPS signal of the clock is used and not the GPS of the phone?

Thank you in advance!

Hello Harry,

Wear for Locus Map add-on currently does not use GPS from the watch. It is meant as a companion app for the Locus Map running on the phone so the current location is always based on information provided by the phone.

Best Regards

Hello Milan,

thank you very much for your quick answer! So I don't have to experiment with a lot of settings anymore.

The good news is that it saves energy in the watch. The less good news is that I have a high power consumption in the phone. The best thing would be if I didn't need the phone at all when I was out and instead just synchronized it at home.

But in any case I know now.

Thanks again!

Kind regards,

Harry
