Locus map 'isn't available in your country'

Hi

I work for a conservation group, African Parks. We are based in Malawi and we use your app for our scouts on patrol. I am trying to load the maps onto their new field devices (CAT phone S40, Android 5.1) and it advises that it 'isn't available in your country'. However at the very same time I was able to load it onto my personal phone (Motorola Moto G, Android 4.4.4) implying it can of course be uploaded while in Malawi.

Any advice as I really want to use your app.

Cheers

Hi Pennie, for Locus Maps Free a tool like APKshare does work (and there are others liek ShareIt, too). They can send the App file to another Android device, or write into a file on SD, then you can mail it (prob. not with gmail), or BlueTooth it to another device. Proven when I was in Myanmar, helping our guide with Locus Free, and no network anywhere near ...

I just re-read. Are you talking about the App, or the offline maps ?

In latter case: there are a number of map sources around, if automatic download would not work - for whatever reason ...

Hello Pennie.

Thank you for your request.

Unfortunately, there is not possible to purchase applications via Google Play store in your country Malawi. Here you can see a list of supported countries https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/143779?hl=en

Perhaps you have a Google account from other country in your Motorola Moto G device.

Please, try to install Locus Map Free from Google Play or Amazon app store.
