Locus openes with the wrong filetype

Solved

Hello Locus Team,

for some weeks I face the following problems with Locus:

It seems that Locus is linked to filetypes that are not suitable for Locus.

Example:

Via Google Mail I received an invitation. When I clicked YES to accept

the invitation Locus (and not google calendar) opens. Then Locus told me that (of course) the filetype is not compatible.

I checked the settings of the app. They are all set to default. I even

uninstalled and reinstalled the app but without any positive effect.

I have this problem with my Smasung S3 Mini and my Nexus 7.

When I am asked with which app I want to continue Locus is always part of the list. Is the latest update probably buggy?

Any help would be appreciated.

thank you!

With best regards,

Michael

I have noticed that with certain url's when scrolling through my twitter list. Like this one: goo.gl/3bKCPY (from Droidlife). But there were others and it surprised me. I am on version 3.5.3.

1. It's over after choosing Chrome from the popup (with the choice of Chrome and Locus) and also choosing "always".

2. No, under apps/settings there was no standard start value for Locus. When you have one you can try to delete that.

I have a similar problem with Locus wanting to open google search results in Chrome when I tap "images" or "videos". Even when I choose the browser to be the default app, it works for some time and after that Locus is again being offered as the app to open those links.

(My post has been merged with this one, so the attachments in the original post are actually relevant for my issue.)

Yes, I have merged them, because even it may not look so, it's exactly same problem.

Fortunately it only complicate life a little bit, but it is not so serious problem. I'll check it during next days.

Uff this one was quite hard, I have still little mess in system for handling URL in Android. Hope, now it will be better .. you'll see in next version. If there will be any problem, let me know.

It seems like the problem when Locus was trying to open google image search is gone in 3.6.2.

However, when I click Maps in Chrome's Google search interface to show the search results and want to open it in Locus, it just gives me a "Proces neúspěšný" (Process unsuccessful) error. It's a different issue, because with maps it makes complete sense that Locus opens the link, but it does not work now.

Thanks, I've improved this.

Anyway be aware that when you search for example "apple" and tap on button "maps", Locus receive only your searched work "apple". So next version will display dialog with search for address instead of error message.

I have the same problem trying to open Google search results in Chrome and Chrome beta. I get to choose whether I want to open it with Chrome or Locus. If I choose Locus, it opens with "wrong file type" error, if I choose Chrome, Chrome starts an indefinite loop trying to open the link.
