Locus Store: list Limburg as a Province folder under Europe/The Netherlands

Just van den Broecke shared this problem 8 years ago
Solved

A minor but possibly confusing issue for Map5.nl OpenTopo maps from The Netherlands:

  • installed Locus Pro or Free 3.15.0 fresh from Play Store
  • select in Locus Store: By Country|Europe|Netherlands
  • scrolling under ASSAM SW: all Dutch provinces are listed as folders, except Limburg
  • each Province folder shows the Assam and map5.nl (OpenTopo) map-offerings ok
  • but MAP5.NL | Limburg and others are non-folders at bottom of list

Here "Limburg" should be a folder as it is a Dutch Province just like Gelderland, Noord-Holland etc. This may be a bit confusing for the user. Selecting "By Usage" shows the same issue (Limburg not as Province).

Also "Veluwe" is under "Gelderland", geographically ok, but like "Zeeuwse Meren" it is not a province, but a dedicated area. Possibly both could appear under "Other"?

Hello Just,

we know about this issue. But honestly it's not issue but feature of Locus store that "unpack" folder with only two items into higher section. However you are right this not wanted feature for this situation. We'll try to improve it.

When it comes to your idea about folder "other" - sorry but this is not possible.

Ok, I see. Then I think Limburg is missing for the MAP1EU provider. So I

would expect 3 entries for Limburg: ASSAM SW, MAP5.NL and MAP1EU like

all other provinces. I think, like I reported earlier, that Limburg in

The Netherlands was in an earlier version listed with the area the

Belgium province of Limburg? Like said, the issue is minor.

In the latest Locus 3.15.1 I see Limburg as a Province, nicely with 3 the Map providers. So AFAIK this issue has been solved! Thanks for the quick action.

Solved...that's the question. We only fixed Map1eu map for Limburg. But it looks better :)
