I like this idea 
Seems this is very old request and even it has only two votes, It's one of most important :)
So it will be in next version.
Broadcast Intent will be send right after user leave new Point screen (required Locus will be 2.21.0). If there were any changes in this last visited point, Locus send broadcast with id of point
All is 'documented' as usually in Sample application. Required class is here.
