Map refresh while navigating

I am using the app to navigate backroads on my motorcycle and I'm having trouble with the map being slow to refresh the tracking icon showing my location. I'm missing turns because the icon won't update my position quick enough. I'm not going fast, typically about 10-15mph. Is there something I can do to make this work better? I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Active.

could I ask you what map do you us, please? Is it any online map or for example LoMaps map downloaded from Locus Store?

thank you would please send me additional info:

what device do you use?
what's your android version
are the LoMaps located in the SDcard (if available on your device) or in internal memory?
what theme do you use? is it any default internal theme or any custom downloaded theme from internet?
would it be possible for you to create short video with mentioned issue? It does not have to be from navigation (It's be enough to simply move with the map)

Good day Eric,

before you invest time to my answer, I've discussed this with a app developer and he confirmed that very similar problem with GPS delay was already once reported some time ago. Unfortunately reason for this was not discovered and we currently have no solution. We plan to update background system how app handle GPS system in device, but to be true, it may take more then few months before it will be implemented and it is also not guarantee that it will help.

I'll look at those recommendations. I don't think I'm doing anything other than possibly map shading. Would it help if I used a bluetooth gps?

I've talked with the main developer about your issue and honestly we don't know the reason of your issue. There is more possibilities and maybe the external GPS could help. Let's try it with bluetooth GPS if possible for you.
