Munzee addon, new munzee types

stebu shared this idea 8 years ago
Completed

Show a special icon instead of "greenie" when an unknown (by addon) munzee is shown on the map. Currently e.g. Topaz.

I would like to repeat my request. Currently there are at least "minimysteries" and "nomads" that are shown as regular green munzees.

In addition, the munzee description should include the munzee type as text and also the number of captures.

There is a bug with the "show own" + "show captured" tick boxes. If I choose:

- OWN, my munzees are not shown, only the uncaptured (ie this has no effect)

- CAPTURED works as expected

- OWN + CAPTURED also works!

I'm using the latest versions from Play Store.

Good day stebu,

I hoped, that more people will be involved in munzee, but seems you are alone.

List of munzee types seems to be quite outdated and topaz is not yet added there: https://www.munzee.com/api-docs/#munzee-types . So generally, if you find some munzee that won't have icon since next Locus version (I've changed icon from "normal munzee" to common (default) brown Locus icon), please post me a coordinates of this munzee so I may manually download it's data and add it to Locus.

Here's three new types:

Minimystery: https://www.munzee.com/m/Sivontim/2693 (identical to old 'mystery')

Topaz: https://www.munzee.com/m/mandello/230

Virtual amethist: https://www.munzee.com/m/Jigge/2922

Thanks for adding these, but could you also consider to add munzee type and capture count into the description. I believe they are available with the same api call or map info.

Good day stebu,

tjhanks for help. All three types added.

What you mean by adding extra parameters to description? When you tap on munzee point, there is already a "capture count" as first parameter. If you wants to add here also a munzee type, it should be possible if icon is not enough.

Well, when Munzee make new icons and Locus shows default brown icon, it would help if the name of the (missing) icon was in the description.

You're right, the find count is already there.

Understand. Unfortunately it won't be possible. Type of munzee is defined just by number. If Locus do not know this number, it cannot set correct icon or display correct name.

It will be just always needed to notify me about some new types.

OK, the number of the icon might help, but the default icon is the most important thing.
