Navigate to the next point disappeared ?

Hello, where is the menu "Navigate to the next Point" when we follow a track ?

It seems that it disappeared since a few version of locus pro.

The menu "navigate to the nearest point" is not always enough because sometimes it guides me in the opposite direction.

Is it possible to add again this functionality ?

Hmm, this functionality was removed because algorithm that I use for guiding should work correctly without need of this "next Point".

May you send me some start, end point and type of compute for track, where navigate system do not work correctly?

Also, anyone have similar issue?

Hi Menion thanks for replying.

Ok I will test again, but my impression after I stoped guiding and restarted it `to the nearest point` it maybe a point that I had already passed.

Imagine a track segment where I am between point number 10 and 11.

If I am from 100 meters to point #10 and 200 meters to point #11 the function `guide me to nearest point` will guide me to the point 10 ?

Ok I tried today on the latest version 2.0.1 and I understand what it happened.

In some circumstance we got tracks drawed in both senses.

Imagine this tracks in the picture.

When you are between point #1 and 4 ( or 234 and 231) and you use "guide to nearest point" the point will depend on wich way you`ll begin to walk !

I remark that the nearest point is decided only after locus has detected a movement.

Ok it seems to but a little bit logical but it would be great if we can decide the point number where we would begin to guide .

A menu "Start to guide from this point" would be great.

hmm, you can imagine you select point in opposite direction and then you want to go? Because if you`ll want to select for guiding point from 231 - 234 direction, then is enough just to go in this direction.

I just want to say, that I don`t see much sense to making such possibility. Much better should be to have current system working without mistake. And this I don`t see as mistake. So, do you really think that adding such option worth it and should be useful?

Hi Menion thanks for replying.

Do you agree that Locus will choose the point to guide from the direction we start to walk in this case ( between point #1 and 4 ( or 234 and 231) ) ?

Also see the two others topics I created because I think this is maybe related:

And I think it would be a good idea to decide from which point on track we decide to begin to guide .

Point #4 Selected => "Start to guide from this point"
