On-line browsed maps are no more stored in cache

Solved

Hello !

Samsung GS2, Android 4.1.2

Locus Pro 3.3.1, All Locus files on internal memory. Nothing on external SD card.

Since a few months browsed on-line maps are shown, but no more stored in cache and thus no more available when off-line.

e.g.: I browse a new region in Europe, on-line maps are uploaded and shown correctly. Then I go off-line (by stopping Wifi or via Advanced options/Offline-mode) and then the new tiles are not displayed.

Earlier uploaded tiles (more than x months) of other regions are still stored and displayed when off-line.

I tryed with diferente sources (OSM, MapQuest, etc.)

WELL, SUDDENLY I TRIED THE OPTION "Use a SQLite DB..." AND NOW IT WORKS AGAIN. IS IT THE RIGHT WAY TO SOLVE THIS ? Until now, I never checked On or Off this option. Did it change without action from my part ?!

Tanks a lot !

Locus is still a real nice tool !

:-)

Good day Jerome,

do you mean "Cache online maps" settings in this screen http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:settings:map_advanced ?

This has to be enabled to cache online maps. But no other settings (or no known bug) has influence on caching of online maps.
