OSM Blocking

According to OpenStreetMap, Locus is 3rd highest usage app, and has been blocked from accessing data from their servers.

How about you block/limit the free version, and a reasonable limit on the Pro version?

Nathan, this block is more then year older. Even after few emails, quite a lot donated money to OSM project, nothing has changed ....

I was planning to make an own OSM server during december 2011, but was not skilled enough (and also lack of time) to accomplish it. For now ...

So sorry, but limiting Free version will not help because Locus is for a quite long time, not 3rd highest usage app!, but OSM guys just don`t react ...

Anyway I`ll try to write them again ...

Nathan, most locus users use osm vector maps as a replacement.

Would that be o.k. for you, too?

Strangly enough, I was downloading them a few mins ago. It would be nice to have online data, as I edit the maps often

Oh well, it isn`t the end of the world.

To this idea - separating Free and Pro in this way is not what I want. I'm trying to give Free users same possibilities around access to maps as for Pro version.

Anyway thanks to Andy (owner of OpenCycleMaps), Locus is since last year able to read official OSM data again. Downloading is completely removed. For this, please use existing official MapQuest maps.
