Overlays must not block map switching

Switching maps is one of the most often used functions outdoors. OSM might be good in one area but a few minutes away, you will need one of your scanned raster maps and frequently switch between them. Unfortunately, when using a vector map with a pretty hillshade overlay, Locus makes it quite impossible to switch to a raster map and back. You have to turn off the overlay manually (click orgy) and then turn it back on again later (another click orgy).

IMHO, the correct behaviour for overlays would be to silently turn them off when an "incompatible" map is chosen and just as silently turn them back on when a "compatible" map is selected later.

Maybe you might show one of those quickly disappearing little reminders, like "overlay disabled" or "overlay enabled" so users know whats going on. But nothing that disturbs the "flow".

That being said, the new mapsforge maps from http://www.openandromaps.org/ look great with a hillshade layer! Not quite as good as real handpainted raster maps yet, but vector technology is getting there.

agree with it. Implemented. Because there is quite a lot of possible combinations, I`ll be glad for confirmation that all works correctly in next version
