"Passive" Track DB on external SD card

With years of tracks in Locus, the database grows towards a 1 GB in size. Not nice.

It would help to have a second DB that may sit ANYWHERE on the device, and be read-only.

Also, Locus makes an auto-backup of the database every other day or so. This fills up the internal memory in a very short time and renders the phone more or less useless.

External read-only-database would rock.

The backup is a pure zipping - that may even directly go to external. Need to try in settings. Not sure.

Database operations however, are not possibler on external, hence the read-only spin.

Read only may be a bad option if you later want to delete some tracks. But a split of DBs would be great.

I have a lot of Geocaches in my DB split into a lot of folders I could imagine that maybe here it also could my sense to split the folders into one DB per folder. But only if this would speed up access to the folders. It often takes time to apply a filter, maybe this is then faster.
