POI/Way-point Notification Feature?

Apparently I either misunderstand the POI/Way-point notification feature or my settings are not correct. Drove out today test the POI Notification feature where I have placed two way-points on my map. I received no notification at either of the way-points which are in the roadway.

*The way-points are visible on the map and Locus was in "Track Record" mode.

*In Settings>Guiding : Global-Notification= Ticked, Way-points-Notification Settings>Type of Notification> Notify on Distance= Ticked Set at 50, Settings of Sound Beep=Ticked Set at 2,Settings of Vibration>Pattern Ticked = ..

Tracks-Notification>Notify When Switching to another point=Ticked, Settings of Sound>Text To Speech=Ticked, Settings of vibration>Pattern Ticked =..

*On the Right Panel: POI Alert >Edit=Settings Distance= 50, Type of Notification>Notify when new POI is in range>Notify Once = ticked, Notification settings of Sound>Beep = Ticked Set at 2 , Settings of Vibration>pattern=..

Hopefully someone will muddle through this and help me set Locus to notify (sound and/or vibration) when in range of way-points.

Thanks

In the Locus Form Menion indicated:

"Re: Alert does not work

firstly POI alert is separate feature with own settings that works on ALL visible points on map at once!

So

- if you want to be alerted on every points on map, use POI alert (settings is in dialog where you define this feature, nothing more)"

I checked my settings and I also have :

Settings>Functions & Modules>Settings For Experts=Ticked>Modules>POI ALERT=Ticked

And I get no alert sounds or vibrations when in the defined alert distance or right at the POI Waypoint.

Any Suggestions???

SOLVED: Every time you exit Locus completely you DEACTIVATE the Poi Alert feature. It must be reactivated via the right hand side menu, clicking OK, for each new session of Locus.

** Would be nice IF this were clearly indicated somewhere in the user guide AND in the POI Alert Active Process Screen.

** Would be nice IF the POI alert function would automatically re-initiate on Locus start-up with a "Deactivate" option. If "Deactivated" it would not automatically reactivate until the user choose that option again..

Hello,

sorry for long delay in my response. Here, as well as in many other topics is shown that "time" solve most of problems :)

Everything is as you found. Closing a Locus deactivate POI alert. That`s how it works since begin. Indication about POI alert is in top system notification bar.

Your second idea - it`s more on separate topic. This feature will require additional settings, and I`m not sure this is needed. From my own Locus usage, you usually need POI alert once, twice, but not everytime. Also POI alert in right panel means, two clicks to start, map 5 seconds.
