Problem with setting up route without GPS on

Mariusz shared this question 7 years ago
Answered

I wanted to prepare a route to navigate through several points.

1) I do not know how I set the order of points.

2) It is not possible even to start doing that without the GPS on. I wanted to set up the route to be used later, but at the moment I cannot turn the GPS on since I am inside the building. The app tells me it cannot set up the route as the starting point is invalid due to me being inside the building. So it seems it is not possible to prepare navigation in advance.

Hi Mariusz,

if you stated your starting point as your GPS location then Locus logically waited for the GPS signal. You can define the starting point otherwise (a place on map, map cursor position, address etc.). If you want to define route and save it for later navigation, the best tool is "Add a new route". See more at http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tracks:planning

Once I save the route how can I hide it so it not appear all the time on the map?

Either tap on it on the map and select "hide" or look it up in the track manager and tap the blue "eye" to hide it. If you have troubles with controlling Locus have a look here: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:basics

When the route is saved how can I, some time later, choose it (load) either to edit points and resave or to start navigation.

This application is not user-friendly.
