Render waterway tunnels in vector maps

rvheddeg shared this idea 6 years ago
Completed

Currently waterways are rendered the same in vector maps if they are in a tunnel or not. This means that the map looks different then the real situation.

Different rendering of highways in a tunnel or not is currently possible, so I hope that the rendering of waterways should be possible too.

Thx

Hi,

thank you for idea. Current situation wasn't ideal and I found out more "problems" with rivers during implementation. With new version will be river in tunnel rendered as dotted line. Please see attached screenshot

Thank you

Hi,

It looks really good. Just the way I wanted. I only hope you did it for all the waterways and not only rivers.

Thanks,

Roeland

Hi,

the solution is applied for all waterways that are currently rendered in LoMaps (drain, ditch, stream, river and canal)

Hi,

I installed the latest version today (3.26.1) and to my surprise this item is not fixed. Does it mean that this depends on the vector maps? I thought that a theme change would fix this issue...

If you are in doubt, see the Belgium vector map around N50°52.426, E004°09.336. The stream is underground and the osm tiles are rendering it correctly.

Hi, I include 2 pictures, one from the vector map, one from OSM.

The coordinates are in the picture

Hi,

thank you for additional info - you're right. The current version works only partially and does not show the "culverts" properly. We prepared some improvements (see the attached screenshot) but it requires new version of LoMaps. I expect that new version of Belgium LoMap could be available in next three weeks.

Thank you

Best regards

Petr
