Solved

PROBLEM: Last entry on the SEARCH menu is obscured by the Navigation menu. SEARCH menu cannot be scrolled to show the last entry. This problem appears only if FullScreen mode is enabled (i.e. only in Immersive mode).

SOFTWARE:

Android V6.0.1

Locus Map Pro V3.21.0

HARDWARE:

Moto X Play (Specs: http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_moto_x_play-7454.php)

EXAMPLE:

  1. Ensure Settings > Display > FullScreen is enabled.
  2. Tap Search icon (magnifying glass)
  3. Keyboard and Navigation menu appear.
  4. Tap "hamburger" icon (upper right).
  5. SEARCH menu appears. Keyboard disappears but Navigation menu remains visible.
  6. Bottom of SEARCH menu is partially obscured by the Navigation menu.
  7. Scroll the SEARCH menu and you cannot display the final entry (GeoNames and GNS).

Good day T2D,

thank you for a very precise description. Bottom navigation menu is still visible because "field for text" on background has still focus. When you try same method with for example "Wikipedia" search, there won't be this problem. Anyway as gynta correctly mentioned (thanks gynta!), John already reported this issue to me. I've tested it and found a workaround that should help here, so consider this issue as solved.

If similar problem appear in next version, feel free to contact me here. Thanks!

Thanks, yes it appears to be the same issue. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of it because I have not read posts in the forum. I thought this site (help.locupmap.eu) is where Problems, Questions, and Ideas are reported.

When I entered the title of my reported problem, the site suggested existing problems that might match mine (to prevent duplication). However, none of the offered suggestions was a proper match.

In the future, should I report bugs here or in forum.locusmap.eu?

All is fine, this place ( help.locusmap.eu ) is correct place for such reports. Thank you.

Haha! OK, thank you both for your replies. I think I understand. This is the official place to report issues but sometimes it is done "unofficially" on the forum. :)

In the future, I'll check the forum first, especially threads in the "Development > Versions" section.
